What is the difference between cabinet refacing and replacing cabinets?
Refacing keeps your existing cabinet boxes and replaces the doors, drawer fronts and exposed surfaces. Replacing tears the boxes out and installs new ones. Refacing costs roughly half as much and finishes in days rather than weeks, so it’s the right call whenever the boxes are structurally sound and the layout already works. Replacement is the right call when you need to move walls, change the footprint, or the boxes themselves are failing.
How long will my kitchen be out of use?
Cabinet refacing installation takes three to five days on site, and you keep the use of your sink and appliances for most of it. The doors are built before we arrive, so the disruption in your kitchen is days, not weeks. A full remodel with new cabinetry runs four to eight weeks depending on scope, with the heaviest disruption in the first two. We give you a written schedule before we start, and it names the days the kitchen is genuinely unusable.

What kind of warranty comes with the work?
Kitchen Tune-Up provides a written limited warranty on completion of your project, covering defects in materials and workmanship. The coverage period follows each product’s manufacturer warranty, so it varies with what you select, and some materials, including laminate, Rigid Thermafoil and wood veneers, carry exclusions for their natural characteristics. If a covered defect appears, a representative assesses it in your home and the replacement product is sourced at no charge. Labor is quoted separately. The warranty applies to the original purchaser.
